Nagpur, May 10: The Butibori flyover, which experienced a 100 mm subsidence on December 24, is currently undergoing crucial repair work. This partial collapse has significantly disrupted traffic flow in the region, leading to considerable delays and necessary diversions around the busy Butibori junction.
Repair Timeline and Progress
According to the latest reports from authorities, the existing iron scaffolding supporting the affected section of the flyover is slated for dismantling within the next 15 days. Following this critical phase, an additional period of approximately 10 days will be required to complete the repairs and conduct thorough safety tests before the flyover can be reopened to the public.
While the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has yet to issue an official reopening date, the current pace of restoration suggests that the flyover could potentially be operational again within 25 days, provided all stages of the repair process proceed smoothly and without unforeseen delays.

Significant progress has been made in reinforcing the collapsed cantilever beams of the flyover. Current efforts are focused on strengthening the structural integrity of the surface through the application of advanced Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sheets.
